DE 901   Illusion in Lace

This pattern is designed to fit "HEIDI", a 10" Stockinette Fabric Doll. Pattern may also be used to fit many composition and porcelain bodies currently on the market with an approximate height of 17". (Since torso sizes and shapes vary from one doll to the next, we recommend that you lay your cut pattern pieces against your doll to check for fit before cutting your material, or make a sample bodice using muslin.)

This dress has been created in pale blue china silk. An overskirt of lace fabric is trimmed with a 1" wide fine, woven, brocade trim, and edged with gathered lace. The silk bodice is overlaid with the same lace fabric. Sleeves are long, overlaid with fine bridal tulle, and trimmed with three rows of flat cotton lace running the length of the sleeve. Cuffs and neckline are trimmed with very full gathered lace ruffles. Ribbon rosettes accent the wrists and neckline.

The matching hat has a very full gathered brim, trimmed with ecru lace and the same woven brocade trim, and two rows of 4" wide lace, trimmed with loops of narrow ribbon. Patterns and instructions for pantaloons and slip are also included.
