This pattern has been designed to fit Georgia, a 20" original doll by artist Jane Zidunas. This doll is on a cloth body, with porcelain arms and legs.
The dress in this ensemble is made of white batiste. It features a high yoked bodice and full, elbow length sleeves. The bodice is edged with wide gathered lace, which also trims the sleeves. The full skirt features several sets of vertical pintucks, then a horizontal band of insertion lace, and a hemline accented with horizontal pintucks. Bodice also features pintucking, all of which is easily sewn using double needles. Pantaloons are also included. Over the dress, Georgia wears a dramatic black velveteen cape, which features a circular collar. Cape ties at the neckline with satin ribbon, and is trimmed with black braid. A matching hat in black velveteen is also edged with braid, and accented with feathers.
