DE 408 Wardrobe for Sabine

This pattern was especially designed to fit Sabine, an original doll by Jennifer Esteban. Sabine is a thin waisted, cloth bodied doll measuring 28" in height, with porcelain arms, legs, and shoulder plate.

View A is an off the shoulder dress, with full bodice gathered into a waistband. Neckline is accented with a wide fabric ruffle, trimmed with contrasting fabric. Sleeves are full, 3/4 length, gathered below the elbow, and edged with contrast fabric trim. Skirt is two-tiered, and each tier is also trimmed with contrast fabric. A contrast fabric flower is attached off center at waist. Colors used were a teal green, with magenta contrasting fabric.

View B is also an off the shoulder dress, fashioned from heavy lace fabric, trimmed at neckline with wide lace ruffle. Bottom of full gathered sleeves are also trimmed with lace. Skirt is split at side front and trimmed with wide lace ruffles, and lined with lace trimmed underskirt. Wire edged ribbon is used to make bows at shoulders. The fabrics used for dress, underslip and bodice lining have been tea dyed to a lovely deep ecru which is especially lovely with Sabine's exotic complexion. Lace trim is left off white as purchased for contrast. Instructions for tea-dying are included.
