DE 404   Breakfast with Tiffany

Both views included in the pattern were originally made from coordinating fabrics, and use three different coordinates each. They may, of course be made from two coordinates, or even a single fabric, but I think the overall effect is best achieved using three, and choosing a stripe for one of these.

View A features a round yoked bodice, trimmed with lace, and large, lace trimmed shoulder ruffles. Sleeves are elbow length. Lower bodice and cuffs are trimmed with ribbon. The skirt is full, and uses the striped coordinate. The lower edge of the skirt ends with a full, gathered ruffle, which is trimmed with rows of ribbon and lace. Pantaloons are made from matching fabric and trimmed with lace.

View B features a bodice trimmed with a two layered gathered ruffle, the first layer made from fabric, the second from lace. which extends over the shoulders and meets at center back. The sleeves are long and full, and gathered at the wrist, ending with a lace trimmed ruffle, Skirt is full, and ends below the knee with another two tiered ruffle as used around bodice. Two coordinating prints are used for main dress pieces. Fabric for ruffles and sash is a complementary solid. Lace may be embroidered net or organdy trim, or a fine lace. (Sheer lace works better than a heavy lace or eyelet. as it allows the fabric below to show thru.)

3/8 yd. 1/8" elastic for pantaloons

3/8 yd 1/4" elastic for pantaloons
